FENTON 1971 CHRISTMAS IN AMERICA OLD BRICK CHUCH PLATE
This is the Fenton, commemorative glass Christmas 1971 plate in a beautiful robin's egg blue with lighter highlights. It depicts "The Old Brick Church". The back of the plate reads: "Fenton" "Christmas in America" "No. 2" "Built in 1632, this building has the distinction of being the oldest house of worship still standing in the original colonies. It is the oldest Protestant Church in America and the only colonial Gothic church in use today." "Isle of Wight County, Virginia"
The front of the plate is the raised picture and the words, "Christmas 1971" and "The Old Brick Church". It is in excellent condition. I can find no cracks, chips, or dings. It is 7 3/4" wide. I am a widowed, retired, "60's hippie gal" with a collection of Mom's and Grandma's things and a propensity for collecting. I have a large number of items that I have collected, inherited, and found at estate sales, auctions, and garage sales over the years.
