Please note: This board is in various stages of air drying. It has been  lightly waxed to prevent defects. Proper handling is advised while storing, milling, and after milling the lumber.

For your consideration one Marblewood woodturning square. Beautiful stripy grain pattern, very intense figure, air dried, and light waxed.  The high contrast between the golden body and the much darker streaks give it an appearance somewhat similar to natural marble, hence the common name of “Marblewood” for this species. Marblewood’s overall appearance is very similar to Zebrawood, though Marblewood tends to have a slightly finer texture. Extremely useful for peppermils, reel seat blanks, turning pens , inlays, fine furniture, gun/knife handles, musical instruments and a variety of other turnings.

Botanical name: Marmaroxylon racemosum.
