This sale is for an Original Watercolor by John Haymson titled, " The Old Curiousity Shop London". The piece itself measures 13" by 17" and with the frame is 17" by 21". The work was created by the artist as an original lithograph with watercolor applied to the lithograph. I can only guess the age here but I would suspect at least 60 years old due to the yellowing of the paper itself. I looked at the paper and because the only thing written on it is the artists writing I have to conclude that this is not just a print also some of the color came off on my finger as I gently went over the colored areas. I am no expert but my reasoning tells me that this is original from the artist.
Another cool thing about this piece is its nice size, it can fit anywhere, plus it looks like the only London scene I could find on eBay, so that makes it special too.
Please view the pictures, The flash spots were hard to avoid here, but you get the idea overall this is a nice piece, silver metal frame included. Other Watercolors like this one and from this artist range in price from $200-$400 US.
