Although for anyone interested, I do have Linea Nova viola case in black leather. But after this last one violin cases and the 1 viola, that's it as far as I can tell so
if you have been thinking about pulling the trigger, now's the time to get serious because they won't last much longer.

I've been slowly selling off a very large and long standing family musical instrument import business for the past half dozen years. The pace has been deliberately slow for two reasons. First, my mom shows no interest in stopping after her now 60 year stint, and second, my dad had accumulated an enormous inventory in the 50 years he ran the business, so it's not like she or I will run out of instruments or accessories to sell anytime soon. Nevertheless, when she decides to call it a day, it's over. 

Much of this inventory is in a warehouse which I regularly visit and where from hundreds of cartons, crates and boxes I get to choose a few dozen things that then have to be trucked back to the shop where they are opened and examined. Sometimes I can tell in the warehouse what I'm choosing, but many times I'm just making a best guess. Once we receive these items back at the shop, it's not unusual to find something is entirely different than what we expected. Sometimes its disappointing, but other times its the exact opposite. This is one of those "other" times and we were extremely surprised and excited when we opened a crate and found a quantity of 30 year old brand new Jaeger Linea Nova violin cases which are now almost impossible to find.
The moment you hear the sound of the Jeager lock open, the phrase "solidly built" comes to mind.
