You are bidding on a Vintage Underwood Universal Portable Typewriter a product of Underwood Elliott Fisher Co. Manufactured in the late 1930's. Serial # 1089228. Advertised as tne new "Typemaster Portable", the Universal/Champion line was a popular portable that embodied the latest development in personal writing machines of the late 1930's. Improvements of the new line included Sealed Action Frame, Champion Keyboard, Dual Touch Tuning as well as an array of features that one would expect only in the higher priced portables. This typewriter is in extremely good condition. It works great and has been recently cleaned, adjusted & oiled. The cas is in very good condition as well.
