Groundamatic™ strap that has a permanently riveted copper alloy lip;
available with grounding screw in lieu of self-grounding strap.

• Choice of standard toggle, lighted toggle, pilot light, key lock, or
patented tamper-resistant locking actuators; 120-277V AC, 15 or
20 amps, Single Pole, Double Pole, 3-Way and 4-Way.
• Full-rated current capacity on fluorescent, tungsten and resistive
loads; motor load capacity is up to 80% of switch current rating.
• Large silver-cadmium oxide contacts minimize pitting and welding,
thereby maximizing current flow and extending life.
• All locking switches are tamper-resistant, operable only by special
key, and also meet UL requirement that they prevent insertion of a
1/32” steel wire into the key slot to reach live electrical parts.
• Terminal screws are triple combination, straight, Philips #2,
Robertson #1, No. 8-32 for 15A and 20A brass and No. 10-32 for
30A brass, backed out and staked for rapid wiring; accept up to
#10 copper or copper clad wire.
• Deep wire wells for easy back wiring enclose conductors, help
prevent bare wire exposure, accept up to #10 copper or copper
clad wire.
• Strip gauge on back-and-side-wired switches, to help assure that
proper length of conductor is exposed for correct gripping by
clamp, without allowing any exposure of bare conductor outside of
wire well.
• All molded parts provide outstanding strength and resistance to
arcing and tracking.
• All toggle-actuated switches available in ivory, white, clear, red and
green or lighted toggles.
• Heavy duty mounting strap for maximum strength; washer-type
break-off plaster ears facilitate flush alignment in wall box.
• Plaster-cleaning captive mounting screws speed installation.
• Shallow body for easy, fast installation.

Specification:
Switches shall be 15A, 20A and 30A AC Leviton Industrial Specification Grade with Leviton’s Limited Ten-Year Warranty and shall comply with current Federal Specification W-S-896 as verified by Underwriters’ Laboratories Inc. with NEMA Heavy Duty Performance WD-1 and UL Tests UL 20, as scheduled on plan. All toggle switches shall be self-grounding; grounding screw in lieu of self-grounding strap shall be available. Circuit control contacts shall be silver-cadmium oxide; terminal screws and backwiring wells shall accept up to size #10 AWG wire. Control shall be single-pole, double-pole, three-way or four-way; toggle, lighted toggle, pilot light, key lock, or key-actuated tamper resistant (US Patent #3, 497,646). Toggles shall be brown, ivory, white, black, red or gray; ratings shall be 15, 20 or 30 amperes, 120-277 volts alternating current-in accordance with schedule on plan.
