10x reusable waterproof nappies (no cover required)
luckily times have changed the new cloth nappy is very modern without the use of unsafe pins or folding required, with Itty Bitty Bums new nappy range you combine the ease of a disposable nappy with costless and environment safe cloth nappy.
These nappies are all in one (also known as AIO) Made with a PUL out layer (100% polyester), non pill suede cloth inner layer (100% polyester) and a sewn-in soaker pad of 2 layers of durable absorbent microfiber terry-cloth and 2 layers of cotton towelling. These nappies do not require a cover as due to the PUL they are 100% waterproof and are great for the mum on the go or the mum who just likes it simple. If baby is a heavy wetter or the nappy will need to be worn for an extended period, such as during in nap-time simply add an extra liner (alsp available) and the absorbency is immediatly doubled or (quadrupled depending which way you fold it) if you have a newborn and a toddler both in nappies these nappies are ideal as you do not need to waste your time or money buying upgrades of sizes.

Washing and care of your nappies
We highly recommend washing nappies a minimum of 5 times on a hot wash before your baby wears them, this will increase the absorbency and prevent any leaks. your cloth nappies' absorbency and any leaking issue will get better with each wash until they've had around 10 washes.
Rinse soiled nappies and place in nappy bucket. No soaking agent is needed this will shorten the life of your nappies, plain water is fine.
Wash nappies every second day do not leave any longer than this as it will shorten the life span of your nappies
Put nappies in machine and do a rinse cycle (to get rid of all that water in the bucket)
Wash in warm or hot water (for best clean) with 1/2 scoop of detergent. Heavy Duty/ Long wash cycle. Avoid using vinegar based detergents , detergents that are highly fragrant, bleach or fabric softener.
Line dry in shade (if line drying we suggest putting nappies horizontally on the line rather than vertically this way the weight will not stretch the elastic while drying). It is also a great idea to put them inside out this way they will dry alot faster.
Drying nappies in a tumble dryer is not suggested but i have heard of plenty of people doing it and not having a problem.
Don't iron your nappies (really, how much time do us mum's have?)
If you have any problems with stains the sun is the best bleaching agent, try squirting a bit of lemon juice on the stain and leaving out in the sun for the day
If you are experiencing any leaking or wicking problems here are some tips to resolve the issue:
-
Some people change bubs nappy as soon as it is wet others change by the clock except for poo's of course then nappy is changed instantly. If changed by the clock we recommend change times be set every 2-3 hours.
-
If you have a heavy wetter, absorbency may be the problem. Try lining the nappy with extra liners you can receive up to 4x the absorbency depending on how you fold your liner.
-
Any build up of products such as creams can result in leaks as the creams can clog the fibres and the nappy won't reach its full absorbency level. Try to avoid using zinc based creams.
