If you want a powdercoated unit, BEFORE YOU PAY please let us know what color you would like and request an invoice through ebay so we can adjust the price accordingly.  These Vortec Throttle Bodies have multiple throttle shaft configurations.  We have a picture showing the popular 3 styles and need you to leave a note during checkout through paypal the style that you have ( 1, 2, or 3 ).  If we don't receive the information, it will delay shipment until we can get this information.  The core charge may or may not be reflected on your ebay invoice after you click to buy.  If this is the case, please let us adjust the invoice before you pay.  We check our email a couple times a day so this won't delay shipment.

---------- Understanding the Core Deposit ---------- 

In a perfect world, you could walk in the shop and drop your throttle body on the table and ask for all the performance modifications and come back and pick it up the next day.  Well since this is not possible most of the time, we have the need to use a "core exchange" method.  Yes if you prefer you can send your throttle body by mail and we will do our work and send it back.  In this case the core deposit need not be payed!  However, for the majority that do not want to have their car/truck idle for a week or two during the process, the core exchange makes the most sense.  We require you to put a deposit down for us to send you out a completed throttle body of ours.  After you install it, you can return your throttle body to us (a good functioning core) and we will issue a refund for the core deposit.  We send the refund from the original paypal payment, that way neither one of us is charged a fee on the core exchange.  If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

---------- We have made a Name Selling you what Works!   ---------- 

The Vortec Throttle body has a 75mm blade, but necks down to around 70mm in the stock configuration.  There is JUST enough meet to support being ported to 75mm throughout the throttle body housing.  Some competitors advertise them as 78mm, which is not possible as there is not enough metal inside the housing to accept such a bore through and through.  Compare some pictures of our 75mm unit with competitors 78mm unit (especially from the backside).  You will see there is no room for a bigger bore!  75mm is also the optimum size as the Vortec intakes have a 75mm opening, so a larger throttle body would just create a flow restriction as the air tries to enter the intake.  Much of the incoming air will hit the protruding lip on the intake manifold resulting in a turbulent motion that reduces airflow.  Other aftermarket throttle bodies like BBK and others sell 80 and 85mm units.  The truth is, it's ALL MARKETING!  They come with a restrictor plate that necks them back down to 75mm where they enter the intake.  Their bet is you won't do your research and buy into the "bigger is better" philosophy.  Whether you buy one of our units or not, we hope you do your research and spend your money wisely.
