Porting the MAF housing is a low $ upgrade worth every penny. Get the same gains as aftermarket MAF ends at less than half the price! Increase airflow 25-30%! Because the engine is seeing so much more "unmetered" air that is not being reported by the MAF, tuning is highly recommended! What is happening is the enlarged MAF is flowing considerably more air and the sensor is not tuned to read it. Basically you are leaning out the motor by letting the motor see more air than it thinks it is getting. You can get even better gains than advertised if your motor is running rich! But, in some cases the motor will lean out too much and go into limp-home mode so performance can decrease. It will vary from car to car, but if this is the case, the car will need tuned.

Understanding the Core Deposit
In a perfect world, you could walk into the shop and drop off your part and come pick it up the next day. Unfortanately, in eCommerce it isn't quite that easy. As a service to our customers we stock cores to facilitate the ease of transaction. You have the option of sending in your parts to get refinished and pay no core deposit, but the core exchange method allows you to get your part faster without any downtime with your vehicle. So at the end of the auction, we require a deposit on the core we are sending out, which is refunded upon receiving your good equivalent core. We will provide a core return form with your part with directions with how and where to send your core. Upon receiving and testing the core, refunds will be made from the original paypal payment. We typically go through cores once a week. So expect a few days before you receive your core deposit. All cores must be received no later than 60 days from the time of purchase.
