Reed & Barton Sterling Ornament Cross 1975

The 1975 Cross is a stylized reproduction of the historic Patone Patee cross that adorned the helmets and escutcheons of Norman Knights during the crusades, in the 11th & 12th centuries. In medieval French heraldry, the Patonce Patee Cross symbolized chivalric honor, valor, sacrifice, and the flowering of graces in the christain warrior.
