This is a large colorful scaphite with nice color and plenty of ornamentation.  This scaphite has a parasite looking shell attached on the spine.  Please look at the pictures.  If a scaphite has a growing problem and can't coil up nice and tight, it fills in that gap with shell making chemicals that ends up looking like this small shell.  Feel free to ask any questions.  Thanks for looking!
