There are some amazing dog toys on the market these days, built to stand up to the rigorous workout that a dog can put them through.  Unfortunately, they can be very pricey, and in the end, you'll usually find that they are not indestructible, and carry with them a warning like 'not suitable for unsupervised play by heavy chewers'. Dogs are equipped with extremely destructive tools in their powerful jaws and teeth, and a lot of them really know how to use those tools to their full potential!
