14" Prairie Porcelain/Bisque Doll
This doll was found in a steamer trunk of my mothers. There are no date markings anywhere that I can see but the doll is vintage.
The head, hands and boots are porcelain/bisque material (see photo). The arms and legs are of a rope type material over wire so the doll can be posed (see photo) and the mid section appears to be foam type material (see photo).
The dress is of a prairie girl style...there is a small stain on back of dress (see photo)
The elastic portion of bloomers and arms of dress appears to be stretched out as they aren't snug against porcelain boots and hands. The neckline of dress is glued to the neck area. The bonnet is also glued to the hair part. The clothing appears to be handmade but cannot be certain.
Again...there are no markings that I can locate on clothing or doll
There is minor wear on the boots (see photo) where color is coming off. There is also a tiny smudge on face (see photo)
The doll is 14" high and is in great condition. My mother is unsure of the exact age but knows it to be quite old.
I know nothing about vintage dolls other than that this one is old....so please ask if you have questions!!!!!
