Its handle is injection molded glass filled nylon in a scales pattern for a comfortable and secure grip when in use. There is even a locking liner made from 410 stainless steel to protect the blade and the handle, as well as securely locking the blade into position when closed. The O SO Sweet 1830 comes with the Kershaw patented SpeedSafe® assisted ambidextrous index finger opener, so quickly open the knife blade when you need it. No need to worry about the blade slipping out of place. When you are done using the knife you can simply press the spring loaded lock to release the blade for easy folding back into the handle.
