In 2006, Department 56 introduced a special series of five North Pole Village buildings.  The first letter of the first word in the five names combined to spell CLAUS.  This  building, Light the wqy - Santa's Beacon,  is for the letter L. The remaining buildings are Candy Cane Corner, Augie's Christmas Carols, Ulysses The Christmas Bell Maker and Santa's Paper Snowflake Studio.  The fun thing about this building is that the beacon rotates - and, yes, it works.  

This came from an estate auction and appears to be gently used.  All pieces are still in their original plastic wrappings and they are in the original styrofoam box and sleeve.  The letter L, that was on top of the weather vane for this building has broken off.  It is still in the sleeve and could possibly be glued.  The series was introduced in 2006 retired 2009.   This building's  number is 57221.
