Very Good condition overall. Hinges are attached. Text-blocks are all very tightly bound. Printed on quality paper. These appear unread. There is chipping along the extremities which has been archivally reinforced for longevity, as shown. Internally they look fresh, new, and unread. sound. Some general rubbing. NEAR FINE interior. Clean, crisp pages. Text-blocks are all very tight and try to close when opened. Free of foxing. No writing or signs of previous ownership.
Vol. I includes a frontispiece of Stoddard with facsimile signature. Each volume contains a frontis and numerous color plates. A thorough collection of literature.
