This is a gorgeous book. Volume is generally strong, in very good condition. Only shows minimal wear at edges of spine. Early bookplate inside front cover. Name on first blank leaf dated April 1880. Front fly-leaf separating from paste-down.

Bound in original cloth.   Front cover affixed with portrait of an upstanding young lady, as a suitable example for the work's audience.   Surrounded by elaborate gilt decor, this binding is similar to, but pre-dates, a Cosway style.   Protected in clear dust jacket.   This is a GORGEOUS BOOK!!
