In excellent condition. The leather is still supple. All the hinges are strongly attached, although there is some rubbing/abrasion as shown. There is some general rubs/wear. Printed on quality paper. There is an early name in pencil, and a bookplate stating this set was given to the Massachusetts Historical Society, stamps on bookplate indicate it to be withdrawn, otherwise no markings. Some of the end papers have closed tears. This is a large and impressive set.

This would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any fine library.
