This set is in VERY GOOD condition. the hinges are all fresh, sound, and fully attached. Printed on quality paper. Some foxing. No writing but for small early name on blank front end paper. Over 500 pages per volume, columned text.

More's writings were immensely popular and respected, of which the best known include her tragedy 'Percy', the political tract 'Shepherd of Salisbury Plain', and her popular novel 'Coelebs in Search of a Wife'. Also a prolific and talented letter-writer, her letters offer a vivid account of the literary circles she frequented, where friends included Walpole, Dr Samuel Johnson, Reynolds and Mrs Montagu.
