All hinges are 100% fully attached, and are all exceptionally fresh. Beautifully laid out, these books are a pleasure to read! Leather is very fresh and supple. All hinges are fully 100% attached with no separation. These are all tightly bound. Printed on very high-quality paper that is practically free of any trace of foxing, but for the end papers that have some foxing. There is an early name from 1877 on the blank end papers. This set is in Mint+ condition. These appear to have been custom bound by a professional bindery, and these bindings are very desirable. There is perhaps some light shelf rubs minor usage wear. The hinges are all very fresh and strong and can be opened without harm. This is truly an exceptional collection of Lord Byron's complete works.

Byron was celebrated in life for aristocratic excesses including huge debts, numerous love affairs, and self-imposed exile. He was famously described by Lady Caroline Lamb as "mad, bad and dangerous to know". He travelled to fight against the Ottoman Empire in the Greek War of Independence, for which Greeks revere him as a national hero. He died from a fever contracted while in Messolonghi in Greece.

Lord Byron is best known as one of the Romantic poets, alongside: Blake, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Shelley, and Keats. Such high-quality sets of Byron are highly desirable.
