Ingelow was a popular 19th century poetess born in 1820.

Her poems, collected in one volume in 1898, have often the genuine ballad note, and her songs were exceedingly successful.

This volume is not dated but looks like it was published in the 1800's or very early 1900's. 

Ingelow was one of the few successful female Victorian authors/poets. Unlike George Eliot, she was published under her real name.  [Feminism Poetry woman women]
