Bound in the original Full leather bindings. Top edge gilded. These are very large books at 9 1/2 inches tall, and are very heavy. This is an exceptionally heavy set. Complete five volume set. The King Richardson Company, Chicago. 1906. FIRST EDITION.

Hinges are fully attached. Some general rubbing to hinges and exterior. Some hinges chipped. Interior is clean, bright, crisp. Free of foxing. No writing or signs of previous ownership. There are some general signs of usage and these are a little loose. Very large font. Heavily illustrated. A pleasure to read..

The volumes are profusely illustrated and tell the stories of the bible in a manner intended to interest children and hold their attention. The print is large, making it easier for children to read along.
