Excellent condition. Very Good+ Internally. Printed on quality paper. These are large and heavy volumes. Still tightly bound. Hinges are all strongly attached and held firmly by the Publisher's extra-reinforced internal hinges, although most show significant external rubbing and chipping/cracking all along the external hinges, with external starting; Hinges are all held strong internally despite this, as the publisher extra-reinforced theinternal hinges. Some general rubbing, the leather bleeds a bit, as is typical of antiquarian leather bindings. VERY GOOD interior. Clean, fresh pages. About free of any foxing. Very clean and appear unread. Wide margins with the Publisher's marginal notes to aid in reading. Early inscription on blank end-paper. A presentable and complete set, with external wear, as described.
