Complete in 12-volumes, as stated on the title pages of each volume; and, as is standard for this edition volume one is misprinted 15-volumes, as the intention was likely to be 15 volumes but changed to 12-volumes, as corrected on the title page of each subsequent volume.

In VERY GOOD condition. Very fresh and well-preserved, all books are tightly bound, leather is supple, spines are all fresh, hinges are all strongly attached, there is some starting in a couple areas which does not affect the integrity. These display beautifully! Printed on quality paper. Very clean, minor trace of foxing predominantly on the first few pages. No writing, but for dealer pencil, and an early bookplate. This is a gorgeous set.

This would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any fine library.
