This set is in excellent condition and very well preserved. There is some general external wear. All the hinges are attached, but there is some abrasion through some hinge sections, and the rear hinge of volume one has been archivally reattached. There is some external abrasion, as shown. Some small chipping, as shown. The leather is still strong and supple. The red leather does bleed a bit. Internally these are very fresh, clean and well-preserved. They are all tightly bound. Textually complete, with all the plates and fold-outs. No writing or previous signs of ownership.

There is a post-it in volume one stating an old Bookfinder list price of $2000.00.

This is a rare and highly desirable set.
