This is a very nice copy of the first edition of a major nineteenth century novel.
During his long and distinguished career he was so widely-read that he was second only to Charles Dickens in popularity. An excellent artist and caricaturist, he often illustrated his own works. This would be an important addition to any collection.
This would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any collection.
