Excellent condition. leather is very well-preserved. Printed on high quality paper that is still fresh and bright. Appears unread. Text blocks are very tight and try to close when opened. Hinges all attached but are rubbed. Some general rubbing/wear, with small chips. About free of any foxing. Elaborate early bookplate featuring safari scene. No writing or previous signs of ownership.

A superb collection of Hugo's complete works. Contains a fascinating biography and insight into the times and context of his classic works.
