Issued in 1987 by John Deere & Company, Moline, Illinois For Over 100 Years ... A Winner!
Did you realize the leaping deer trademark, made famous by John Deere quality equipment, was conceived over 100 years ago? This exceptional trademark has changed dramatically through the years; it has been one of the most distinctive trademarks used by any U.S. company.
Though John Deere is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, the leaping deer trademark was not used in the early days of the business. Although John Deere started in the plow business in 1837, the first federal laws for the registry of trademarks was established in 1870. It was probably about this time that the first John Deere leaping deer trademark appeared.
The span of years has seen a wide variety of leaping deer trademarks. The five most memorable of these have been sculptured attractively in this exciting, new, limited edition buckle. It is triple-plated with 24-carat gold, antiqued and highly polished for lasting beauty. Only 6000 buckles were produced; so yours is an exclusive treasure you'll be proud to own.
