Adlake Brass Railroad Lantern Reading Lamp
This brand new brass-plated steel table lamp is a genuine brakeman's style lantern made by Adlake. Lamp has a three-way switch which lights the upper bulb, red globe or both at once. A 10-1/2" linen shade is included. Overall height is approximately 23". This style lantern was used by many railroads as a signaling device for the railroad personnel of a passenger train or freight train. The lantern, along with hand signals, told the crew what operations were needed to operate the train.
