This antique circa 1920s betel nut box is  bronze ,it is well constructed to withstand the wear and usage through all these years !

It measures 4 inches by 4 inches tall,it is decorated with peacocks,you see one large one on top of the box and 6 smaller ones on each compartment lid,then 6 more smaller ones holding up the box,condition is good,you can keep all 6 compartments open with no problem,and they will stay open until you close them.

the compartments do not close tight ,when closed the tip rest on the pedestal of the peacock leaving a gap.This is the way it is made,not a defect/      

It weighs almost 1 pound on my digital scale.
