Handcarved and polished using natural material from Africa ,this Kabuki Samurai actor with a weapon which resembles a hammer is in very good condition,it dated to 60s,his head will rotate 360 degrees,carries 2 expressions,one sad and one happy,if you dont like either,there is also a blank expression,just use your finger to roll it .

Standing at 2 inches tall,1 1/4 inches wide and it is like a wedge shaped piece  ,well carved with mon emblem on his costume and carries a bag ,two holes on the back,signed by artist on the bottom,very good vintage condition.

This kind of material is hard to find these days,it was brought into this country many years ago. 

Care of these older pieces is to keep it inside a glass cabinet with a small cup of water to give it some moisture.

This kind of netsuke using this sort of material from Africa is getting rare,go for it ~
