Handcarved and polished using natural material from Africa ,this netsuke features a KABUKI ACTOR with a turtle back,he is an old sage carrying a dagger in each hand and wearing traditional kimono with sash,2 holes in his midriff ,2 by 1 1/2 by 5/8 inch thick,good condition,no problem.

This kind of material is hard to find these days,it was brought into this country many years ago. 

Care of these older pieces is to keep it inside a glass cabinet with a small cup of water to give it some moisture.

This kind of netsuke using this sort of material from Africa is getting rare,go for it ~
