Genuine Japanese woodblock print by Chikanobu,signed Yoshu Chikanobu,dated 1898,measures 24x36 cm. Impression ,colors and condition are all very good,with album backing. Titled 'Chiyoda no on-omote mokuroku'/'Nikko Shrine at Kamihachi bridge':once again we are experiencing the power of the Tokugawa clan,they are everywhere!! It looks like all the male members of the clan are on this bridge ready to visit the famous Nikko shrine,below them is the river,lets hope the bridge does not collapse under their collective weight!! Some are carrying swords,some carry widebrimmed straw hats and some carry fans.
