This is the hardcover cookbook, Betty Crocker's Cookbook (New and Revised Edition). It was published by The Golden Press, copyright 1978, 1969, Fourth Printing 1980. The book is in very good condition, with no writing, no stains, very clean pages. The pages are lightly tanned from age; the cover looks like that of a seldom used book. It has a different arrangement of recipes (Candy is in the Appetizers, Snacks and Beverages section), but I found my special Toffee recipe that I make as gifts every Christmas...it is delicious!  The Divinity recipe is also very good...it is the old-fashioned recipe. It contains hard-to-find recipes for homemade candy that are good...I have tried many of these, and haven't found a bad one yet! The meat and vegetable recipes are also very good...I used my BC cookbook to learn how to cook when I first got married. The book shows where each cut of meat comes from, and suggests usage for most of the cuts shown.
