Chinese Cooking Clay Pot

Thick walled Chinese clay pot has

a smooth blackish/brown glazed interior 

non-glazed wired exterior

 The pot measures approximately  7 1/4” deep and 8” wide.

Holds 3.1/4Quarts or 13cups of liquid to the cooking brim

The handle measures about 2.1/2” long.

 The wired cage serves to support the earthenware.

Lid has center hole for steam escape..

There are minor discolorations which occurred
during the production and use...

this makes each pot unique to itself.. 

Age is unknown... but piece is is perfect condition... 

No Chips.. No cracks.. No repairs

Clay pot cooking is particularly popular in Chinese
and Malaysian cuisine,especially for making stew, curry or hot pot dishes.

Any Respectable Asian Kitchen Wouldn't Be Caught Without One.....
