The sign that you see in the picture measures 15 and a half inches long and is 5 and a half inches wide and is made right here in the beautiful blue ridge mountains of Virginia. These beautiful solid wood signs are made from select pine… select pine is the very best in that class of wood. After the sign is cut and sanded we then gently round over the edges giving it a smooth decorative look. Then the lettering on the sign along with what artwork there is... is then burned deeply into the wood by hand at a temperature of 1200 degrees… an art form that is called pyrography ... which means writing with fire ... and folks I have been doing this for over 36 years.
After the burning.. the sign is hand stained… then 3 coats of Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish is applied… and then a hanger is attached for hanging your beautiful sign... all of this for just 22.99
