The brazed type heat exchanger consists of a series of thin and corrugated stainless steel plates. These plates are compressed and brazed together with copper or nickel depending on the application. This creates flowing channels between plates, with one fluid in odd-number channels and the other in the even-number channels, thus achieving the purpose of heat exchanging.
Different from the gasket-seal type, the brazing type uses soldering material (copper or nickel depending on the application) to seal the exchanger. Applying high temperatures in the vacuum environment during the manufacturing process melts down the soldering material to form the seal between each plate.

Some of you bought a WVO kit from one of the many kit suppliers and some of you just cannot afford $2,000 to $5,000 for a veggie conversion kit. Maybe you only paid $1,500 for the whole car; maybe your uncle passed away and left you his old diesel Mercedes; or maybe your girlfriend/wife/significant other bought a diesel car at a garage sale and now your job is to convert the damned thing to run on veggie oil. It will help the kit you already bought get your WVO fuel up to 160°F before getting to the injection pump (some of the kits out there only get the WVO up to 120°F--maybe--on a good day).
