Trocas are top shells. Scientific name: Trochidae. This is a large family of shells found worldwide. The shells are spiral to conical shape and vary from low to tall and slender. They range from less than 1/2 inch to over 6 inches in size.The shells exterior is variable and may be smooth, glossy or sculptured. All Trocas have a pearly interior and a horny operculum consisting of many turns.
Trocas are herbivores and use their radulae to feed on algae and vegetable detritus.Sexes are separate and in some species the females are larger than the males. The two sexes position close to each other releasing eggs and sperm; fertilizing instantly. The eggs can be produced singly or in large strings or masses. The larvae free swimming stage is short lived.

I used these unique, rare, large mother of pearl beads to make these beautiful dangle earrings. These stand out in brown and cream and make strong statements. Each bead's dimensions are: about 24mm round. A sterling silver wire holds each bead to a .925 sterling silver extra long ear wire for minimal irritation and so they wont come out when wearing them. *all vary slightly as there are natural elements involved.

Will be sent economy registered mail, it takes about 2-4 weeks for arrival.  These packages are not traceable except in the USA as far as I know, but they do require a signature on delivery so if you don’t get your item within 3-4 weeks check if the post office is holding it(this is common). Please rate my shipping time as per eBay’s policy of time it takes us to put in mail and not time in postal service.  This is the most reliable shipping at a low cost to the buyer, you can purchase express shipping(7-10 business days) , it starts at $ 16 for up to 250g.  We apologize for the cost of the express shipping, I often see tourists in the post office complaining about how expensive it is.  I know in the USA fast shipping is standard they don’t offer the slower one, whereas here they do, it saves you money but it takes longer.
