Another ring from my new collection of one-of-a-kind "crown ring". This beauty is made by hand with 18K solid gold that has been hammered
lightly and has a brushed finish. This a natural Imperial Topaz in crystal form... that is absolutely gorgeous! Ring size is a 7, you can have it sized by your local jeweler, or I would be happy to
do it for you. This is the only ring like this, no more were made or will be made!
Thank you for looking, feel free to email or call with questions...
Gem Lore:
Spodumene in the color pink is known as kunzite. Kunzite crystallizes in
the form of striated, lath like flattened crystals, and in massive
formations. Kunzite is named in honor of George Frederick Knuz
(1856-1932), the first recognized American gemologist, who predicted its
existence just after the turn of the last century. Kunz wrote a number
of works on gem lore.
The first discovery of Kunzite was made in
the vicinity Santa Barbara, California. Since then it has been found in
Maine, Brazil, Madagascar and the Middle East; most notably in
Afghanistan.
Given the right conditions spodumene crystals can
reach gargantuan size. The largest spodumene crystal on record was
mined at the Etta Mine in South Dakota; 75 metric tons and some 42 feet
in length.
Kunzite will loose it's color if left in sunlight.
Despite
its fairly recent discovery, Kunzite has developed quite an extensive
lore about it. It is an especially prized gem to followers of the New
Age philosophies. Note that pale greenish-yellow to nearly emerald
green spodumene is known as hiddenite, another gem well respected by New
Age devotees.
"The position for this stone is the Crown Chakra.
Because of it's high lithium content, it is recommended for
psychological disorders involving severe/manic depression."
Generally,
kunzite is said to assist one in reaching the altered mental state of
deep meditation. Because kunzite is thought to promote self assurance
and dissolve negativity, it is believed that kunzite imparts the ability
to handle almost anything.
Kunzite " . . . dissolves negativity,
automatically rising the vibrations of the area surrounding it; the
diameter of the energy field can range from two inches to infinity [if
directed properly]. It can be used to dispel possession from outside
influences/entities; providing protection on the outer areas of the
aura, kunzite produces a shield from unwanted energies. " 2
Kunzite is also a stone of uncompromising love, given and received.
