Back, WAY back, when the Detroit Lion franchise had something to be even a little bit proud of, I had this DETROIT LIONS 1967 FACTS BOOK for Press * Radio * TV signed by several of the better-known Tiger Stadium star footballers.   There is even a Hall of Fame superstar in the group.

It has been autographed by Lem Barney (on his player page), Larry Hand (on the cover), Tom Nowatzke (on the cover), Pat Studstill (on the cover), Mike Lucci (2x - on the cover and also on his player page) and Larry Hand.

I had it signed after a practice.  It has 80 pages and is stuffed with Detroit Lions history.  There is a Hughes, Hatcher Suffrin advertisement on the back (I still have a stock certificate from Hughes-Hatcher).

The Detroit Lions of this vintage had some talent.  They had good players such as Alex Karras, Dick LeBeau, Bruce Maher, Studstill, Milt Plum, Ron Kramer, Lucci (perhaps most famous for blowing out Joe Namath's knee), Coach Joe Schmidt, John Gordy, Gail Cogdill, Jim Gibbons, Roger Brown, Wally Hilgenberg, Mel Farr, Paul Naumoff, Darris McCord, and Garo Yepremian - and then-infamous GM Russ Thomas, actually made to look like a genius compared to one of the most recent Lion GM's.

This is a very nice vintage piece for those of us who remember the gridiron exploits of the Detroit Lions without cringing.
