The clipper is compact and comfortable to hold, with a sleek black housing made of no-slip, soft grip material, designed to reduce hand fatigue. “The RAX? Clipper has incredible power for such a compact size,” says Fred Koeller, Vice President of Marketing at Andis. “It’s perfect for all around hair cutting and easily cuts through wet hair.” The blade adjusts for cutting fine to coarse hair, ranging from #000 (1/100”) to size #1 (1/8”). Included with the clipper is a break resistant CeramicEdge? blade and nine different attachment combs—1/16”, 1/8”, ¼”, 3/8”, ½”, 5/8” ¾”, 7/8” and 1”. Andis’ CeramicEdge? Blades, patent pending, are equipped with a certified zirconium oxide ceramic cutter. Using this new ceramic material for the upper blade keeps the blade up to 75% cooler than conventional steel cutters. It’s the upper blade that usually causes heat because of the friction of metal rubbing metal. CeramicEdge? blades last longer, too. The patented design of the CeramicEdge? blades incorporates break resistance, so the blades are less likely to be damaged if dropped while they’re being changed.
