Very Good- No Jacket  Three volumes in dark red cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Books are solid and square, very light exterior scuffing ( a couple of small scratches or spots). Pages have a little minor wear, no markings, except a few penciled numbers on endpapers. No fraying, but for a bit at corners. A nice set with color and half-tone illustrations and maps. Bindings are very good. Volume 3 has a triangular tear on spine, about 1 x 1.
