This is the first edition of BAMBI'S CHILDREN, published by WOnder Books in 1951. Adapted and abridged from Felix Salten's famous story, illustrations by William Bartlett. Wonder Books no. 544, with bright clean washable cover, no color fade or loss; there is a repairable split of the front hinge between the edge of the front cover and the spine. Also, a small piece of the spine covering is missing from the very bottom of the spine. Otherwise this book is in virtually new condition, without marks, writing, tears or stains. No fingerprints or spots. The illustrations are very colorful and gorgeous. The binding is in excellent condition without any loosening or pulling. Bambi was first published in 1930; this story was taken from parts of the original (just as the child's edition of 'Bambi' was) in 1951.
