Early copy of Heidi by Johanna Spyri.
Title is given as "Heidi: A Story for Children." Translated by Louise Brooks. Published by Thomas nelson and Sons Ltd, London. No dates in this copy, only the publisher's information with a series of addresses. With very nice, bright glossy color frontispiece (Heidi with Snowball the kid.) Pages are clean and fairly bright. Binding is good with some weakening, pages are intact. Dark blue hard cover. Minor markings to boards. Spine is sunned. Good overall condition.
The illustration looks like one from the 1920s or 1930s, although it could be earlier; I have no other information about the printing date.
