Lot of three books published by modern library in the mid twentieth century. These are three very nice shape, clean, tight books that will look very nice in your collection:
1. The Egoist by George Meredith. No. 253, modern library edition. In bright teal green cloth with gilt lettering. 1951, first thus. Clean, bright, no dirt or damage; former library copy has a few library stamps inside. Not worn or rubbed.
2. Lord Jim by joseph Conrad. Modern library no. 186. This edition copyright 1931, first printing thus. In very nice square and clean red cloth covered boards with original blue jacket. Jacket has light edgewear and chips, $1.45 price on jacket flap.
3. The Memoirs of Jacques Casanova. A hard to find title in bright red cloth hardcover. Spine is somewhat sunned but very legible. Small bit of wear at corners. Front hinge is split. Rear hinge is weakening. pages are tight and intact. 1929 copyright date to modern library, no other dates listed. Modern Library no. 165.
