Very Good  First paperback printing stated. This book has been stored in a handmade bookwrapper made from heavy, unpasted vinyl wallpaper, and so has endured in very good condition. It is uncreased and has very minimal soiling. The edges are sharp and the corners are square. Red edgestain. Interior is moderately bright and unsunned. The front is white with the words at the top, NOT FOR SALE IN NEW YORK STATE. Bottom edge states, complete and unabridged. There is a short forward by the author that reads, "For this new edition of Memoirs of Hecate County I have made a revised text, which differs in many passages from the version originally published. Hecate County is my favorite among my books. "
