This coin was taken from mint bags directly into 2 X 2 mylar holders 40 years ago.
I've tried to get the best pictures I could. Take a look at the pictures and use that to judge the coins yourself.
- Designed by Victor D Brenner, this cent was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. In 1959, the United States Mint changed the reverse from the wheat stalks to the Lincoln Memorial. In 2009, the reverse was depicting 4 stages of Lincoln's life, and now in 2010 the new reverse is the Union Shield.
