You are bidding on a rare antique porcelain and ceramic figurine of a revolutionary figure in fancy attire carrying basket by CARL THIEME for DRESDEN, Germany - IN VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION, pre-owned. Piece is marked "Dresden" on the bottom and signed "CT" (see photo below). No cracks, chips or repairs are noted on this unique Dresden figure.
The quality and workmanship of this magnificent piece is reminescent of Meissen and likely dates to the 1920s. Gold leaf is applied on the base and outlining the blue jacket worn by the figure. The design is handpainted along with the applied flowers and greenery above the base.
Figurine measures approximately 7" tall x 5" wide x 3" deep.
