My father handed down to me a rare Vintage 1960's Rawlings Official NFL 200 leather football with hall of fame quarterback Bart Starr's autograph. The antique 1960's Rawlings football is in perfect preserved condtion.  You rarely see this type of Rawlings vintage football up for sale in prestine shape, let alone with an Authentic autograph from Bart Starr.  I took pictures of the authentic autographed vintage Rawlings football as it was stored and pumped up.  The first three photos are the football pumped up with air and the rest are the exact way it was stored and presented.  My father  was lucky enough to get his autograph after one of the Green Bay Packers home games he quarterbacked in the 1960's.  My dad could not tell me for sure which game.  The autograph is in black marker and has not faded too much and the ball has been preserved nicely and stored in a dark and dry area in my dresser.  The Bart Starr autograph footballs on the market are mostly of current day signatures at conventions that are coupled with Brett Favre.  This is much more rare because it was signed when he was still playing for Green Bay Packers in the 60's and it is very well preserved.  A little bit of history to honor this NFL hall of fame quarterback:

Bart Starr was a 17th round draft choice of the Green Bay Packers in 1956. His playing time was limited during his first few years on the team, but the arrival of Vince Lombardi as Packers coach changed his football career. Lombardi found Starr an intelligent and capable player. With his encouragement, Starr acquired the self-confidence to become one of the NFL's great field leaders.

By 1960, Starr led Green Bay to the Western Division championship, the first in a long run of successes for the Packers. Starr ended up playing for 15 years as a quarterback and rose to become one the greatest players the team has seen. He held several NFL passing records, including the lifetime record of completing 57.4 percent of his passes over a 16-year period. He led the league in passing three times. Starr used his astuteness and skill to lead the Packers to five NFL titles and two Super Bowl Championships. He was honored three times as Most Valuable Player- once as a Green Bay Packer MVP in 1966 and MVP of Super Bowls I and II. After his playing career ended, Starr remained with the team he built and took on the role of head coach from 1975 to 1983.

In 1977 he was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame. Starr has won a number of awards, including NFL Award for Citizenship and the Byron White Award. Bart Starr was the man who made the Packers click and he will always be respected for his hardworking attitude and perseverance.

I took this to a couple local baseball card dealers and they thought this vintage autograph of Bart Starr on the preserved 1960's Rawlings NFL 200 official football is valued in the range of $350-$550.  I will list this auction at a low start price of $300 and let the market determine where it goes.   Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  I would have put more photos up if ebay did not charge so much for each photo.  I am also willing to ship this item for free if the winner so chooses to mail a check for payment instead of me having to pay paypal astronaumical fees.  Shipping otherwise, will be $10 for shipping and handling with insurance.  Good luck and happy bidding!
