This is a camp kitchen/chef knife. It is great for preparing meat and vegetables. It also works well as just a knife-around-town...if you know what I mean!
This knife was made totally by me using the traditional blacksmithing techniques that I have been taught. I used recycled truck springs so this knife is environmentally friendly! After forging the knife, it was hardened, tempered, and hollow ground. It has been sharpened on two Japanese water stones and honed with a strop.
This knife has a wooden handle. The knife's tang is 1/3 of the way into the handle. It has 3 rivets. The handle has been stained with a walnut stain.
This knife has a gorgeous finish. The texture of the springs really give this knife a unique appearance. Everything about this knife makes it a real beauty!
